Special Olympics - 2009 Windsor Games

November is Special Olympics awareness month. For the past two weeks, Staples stores across Canada have asked customers to add $1 to their total as part of their "Give a Dollar. Share a Dream." campaign that they run each year.

In 2007, Staples raised $573,000 across Canada from this campaign. 75% of funds raised stay in the community from which they were donated; the balance of 25% goes to Special Olympics Canada to ensure that the organization and its national games continue to run each year.

Hopefully you gave your $1 this year! If not, you can still donate to the 2009 Provincial Summer Games that will be held in Windsor in 2009.
