Santa Makes an Early Visit to Windsor
As the snow fell on Friday, December 19th, reps from Special Olympics Provincial Games gathered at Subway (4200 Deziel Drive) with Arms from AM800. The event was to promote Subway's limited edition cash card in support of Special Olympics. $1 from every cash card (whether you get the limited edition card or another design) is donated to Special Olympics and funds raised in this area will go to the Summer Games. This promotion runs through until January 10th.
Special guests included former Olympic athlete Brad Snyder (now pa
rt of the Windsor Police Dept), Gary Smith (Chief of Police), Al Frederick (Deputy Chief) , Santa Claus, and several local Special Olympics athletes. AM800 interviewed many of the guests and offered $10 cash cards for visitors who braved the snow to say "Eat Fresh!". The athletes gave out presents to visitors and Santa gave out hugs and listened to everyone's wish lists.
